Benbrook Heritage Fest 2026 will be packed full of exciting Western entertainment, musical performances, food, vendors, hayrides, and a chuckwagon dinner and street dance.  Attendees are invited to participate in a dog costume contest and a stick horse race competition. The applications for the competitions will open in May 2026. Vendor and Sponsorship applications will open May 2026.

We can't wait to host everyone at Dutch Branch Park again this year!

This wonderful event is to bring awareness to suicide prevention.  Proceeds will benefit a non-profit organizations providing services to veterans and first responders facing life struggles. 

Registration includes T-shirt and additional shirts available for pre-purchase ($10 for Small-XL sizes, $12 for 3XL/3XL/4XL sizes; prices for race day purchase will be $15 and $17, respectively)

• 7:00 AM : Race Day registration begins

• 8:00 AM : Ceremonies begin, with National Anthem and Route Safety Briefing.

• 8:15 AM - Special Needs 1K & Kids 1K Fun Run start

• 8:30 AM : 5K Run, Ruck and Walk start

• 8:45 AM : Live Band "Proud Country"  

• 9:30 AM : Awards Ceremony and Raffle Drawing

• Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration starts at 7:00 AM at the Race Site

• NOTE: Runners who register after 9:30 AM on Friday, September 18 can only pick up their packet on Race Day

Event route: Event starts and finishes at VFW Post 10429.  Participants will cross Stevens Drive to Lakeview Drive.  Run along Lakeview drive, enter the Benbrook Lake Park entrance gate, enjoy the beautiful view of Benbrook Lake.  Water station and restroom facilities are available at the 1 mile marker.  Participants will continue until they reach the halfway turn around point, identified by a sign and then take in nature's view as they head back to the Finish line for a total of 3.1 miles.

This charity golf tournament brings together community partners, local businesses, and supporters to raise funds for training equipment that will help teach generations of firefighters critical, life-saving skills.

Capture the spirit of the season by joining the fun during Benbrook’s 35th Annual Tree Lighting and Fireworks Show Saturday, December 5, 2026, at Dutch Branch Park behind the Benbrook Community Center YMCA (1899 Winscott Rd.). The show will start at 7 p.m. Attendees can watch Mr. & Mrs. Claus ride in on the Fire Truck, take pictures in the old-time sleigh, and even enjoy a cup of hot cocoa during the lighting of the tree and the fireworks show. The event is free to the public and hot chocolate will be available for purchase.
